RE: Company Name Change to EMD Chemicals Inc.
This is to confirm that the announced Company Name Change for EM Industries, Inc. and for EM Science, Division of EM Industries, Inc., affects only the name and logo for our company. We are the same company with a new name, EMD Chemicals Inc.
There will be no changes in the source, manufacturing processes, or the primary packaging of our products as a result of this change. The chemical products and the information provided about them will remain the same. There will, however, be some unavoidable changes in the name and logo used for certificates of analysis, material safety data sheets and product labels.
We will begin to ship products with the EMD Chemicals Inc. name and the new logo during January 2003. The changes will be phased in gradually
throughout the year and for some time you may continue to receive EM Industries, Inc. or EM Science labeled products as well as the new
EMD Chemicals Inc. labeled products. Be assured that the contents of your products whether labeled as EM or as EMD Chemicals Inc.
have not changed.
We will make every effort to maintain consistency between the product labels and the MSDSs and Certificates of
Analysis that accompany them. However, you may see occasional company name discrepancies between product labels and
accompanying documentation as we make the transition to EMD Chemicals Inc.
