EMD Chemicals' GR ACS Acids are suitable for a multitude of uses in the analytical laboratory. The designation
"GR" stands for Guaranteed Reagent, a term first used by Emmanuel Merck in 1888. It was his guarantee
of a consistent and high quality product. In that tradition, EMD Chemicals is please to offer GR ACS Acids that
exceed ACS requirements by listing test results for 15 different metals, including: Aluminum, Nickel, Chromium,
Copper, Lead, Magnesium and Zinc. GR ACS Acids have comprehensive specifications which guarantee laboratory
personnel the quality assurance they demand.
In addition to superior specifications, these GR ACS Acids feature novel plastic-coated labels that resist label
corrosion in the event of acid drips or spills and are color-coded to match the acid caps for ease of identification.
In addition to more conventional packaging options, including clear glass bottles in 500mL, 1L and 2.5L sizes,
amber glass 4L bottles, as well as 6.5 gallon glass carboys and 55 gallon high density poly drums, several of our
GR ACS Acids are available in safe and easy-to-use 25L plastic containers. These containers are sturdier, safer,
lighter and much less awkward to use than traditional glass carboys.
