An internally-quenched fluorogenic 19-mer peptide substrate derived from the MAP kinase kinase (MKK) substrate motif. Acts as a sensitive substrate for rapid monitoring of Anthrax lethal factor (LF) protease activity. Also suited for simple enzymatic screening of inhibitors in a multiwell plate-based format. Substrate is cleaved between Pro8-Ile9 with a 9-16% increase in fluorescence (at 100% cleavage).
