Daily Skin Care
The general aim of daily skin care is to preserve the beauty of the skin, and is mainly concerned with maintaining young looking and firm skin with even skin tone, for a prolonged period of time. Marketing claims such as e.g. anti-aging summarize a multitude of different activities that are able to keep the skin in a balanced state or to improve impaired skin conditions. One can distinguish between protective and regenerative product features. Often one individual ingredient plays a role in both functions.
Sun & Soft
The skin is frequently exposed to a prooxidative environment such as UV radiation and pollutants, which may generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) and other free radicals. Antioxidants eliminate the harmful effects of ROS thus protecting the tissue from oxidative damage.

Anti Pollution
The skin represents the first line of the body’s defense system. The skin barrier prevents the invasion of most bacteria, viruses and pollutants. If foreign molecules manage to penetrate the skin barrier, the skin is equipped with so-called Langerhans cells, which exercise a key function in the immune system of the skin.
To provide a good defensive skin barrier against an aggressive external environment and pollution, it is important that the skin’s immune system of the skin is functioning adequately. Unfortunately, the Langerhans cells suffer from a major drawback: their number, which is crucial for the skin’s self-defense, decreases under UV stress, resulting in an impaired immune system.

D-Stress
Through evolution living cells found a way to protect themselves from damage caused by harmful stress factors. In this context the family of "Heat Shock Proteins" (HSP) represents one of the basic mechanisms of cell defense and protection under stress conditions. These HSP, which are also called "molecular chaperones" help the skin to help itself under stress. Quick availability of the HSPs is crucial to avoid early cell damage.
RonaCare® Ectoin induces a faster formation of HSPs under stress conditions: the natural protection mechanism is more quickly available than without RonaCare® Ectoin. Thus cell damage can be avoided at an early stage. RonaCare® Ectoin provides quick cell protection and helps the skin to help itself.
Bright & Beautiful
To obtain a bright appearance the use of EMD’s pure natural product Emblica® is recommended. Used in a concentration of 1 to 2 %, Emblica® shows good skin lightening efficacy. A cream with additional exfoliating/peeling effect removes scales and prepares the skin for optimal lightening results.
Further lightening and protection of clear skin from damage and tanning is achieved by combination of Emblica® with UV filters (Eusolex® 2292 and Eusolex® 6300). The additional anti-oxidant properties of Emblica® add a valuable anti-aging effect to such formulations.

Day & Night
The aim of skin restructuring concepts is to re-establish the healthy fine structure of the skin, leading to a smooth and young looking appearance. Depending on the area and the target skin condition, protecting or regenerating activities focus on different parameters such as collagen, glycosaminoglycanes or/and microcirculation.
Ideal against natural skin aging is the combination of RonaCare® VTA and RonaCare® ASC III® for both protection and regeneration of the extra cellular matrix in a day and night product line.
