Sun Care with Balance
State of the art sun protection products should provide UVB and UVA protection as a primary shield. Today's sunscreens can however no longer be based on the sun protection factor (SPF) alone - they have to be effective in more than that. According to the latest scientific results, protection against UV induced immune suppression and protection against UV induced DNA-damage [1] are recommended as a secondary shield.
The Complete Photo Protection Concept
The concept presented here takes the latest research into consideration: It comprises a new UV filter generation of capsules (Eusolex® UV-Pearls™), mineral UVA/UVB filters based on Eusolex® Titanium Dioxides and the natural cell protection factor with UVA protection properties, RonaCare® Ectoin.
This Complete Photo Protection Concept covers the classical approach of absorbing or scattering UVA and UVB light on the surface of the skin. The mineral UV filters and the encapsulation technology for organic UV filters allow improvement of the SPF performance and reduction of dermal uptake, resulting in less skin irritation. The cell protection factor Ectoin offers UVA protection properties as well as protection against immune suppression and UV induced DNA-damage inside the skin to complete the UV filters´ action.

Sun Care for Kids
Kids´ complete photo protection is ultra high protection, i.e. it does not normally fall below SPF 30. Sunscreens for this group mainly consist of W/O-formulations, which are carefully formulated with soothing substances and vitamins.
It goes without saying that this very special target group needs to be protected with every possible care. Seek the shade! Wear a hat!

Sun Care for Men and Sports
The SPF suitable for formulations offering complete photo protection whilst exercising outdoors depends on the length of exposure.
The formulation as such needs to be sweat resistant in order to maintain its protection level. At the same time, men and sportsmen do not want to be bothered by sun protection with a sticky or greasy feeling - this kind of protection needs to be light and fresh (underlined by fresh odor).

Sun Care for Sensitive Skin Types
Complete photo protection for sensitive skin types comprises suitable non-irritating UV filters of the non-penetrating type. Low SPFs are not recommended. Ideally products ought to be free of fragrances, preservatives and emulsifiers. The latter in particular dictates the use of water based or oil free formulations.
