Recombinant, human platelet derived growth factor AA (disulfide-linked dimer of two A-chain monomers) expressed in E. coli. Amino acid sequence is the long form of mature human PDGF-A chain and is identical to that of the native human nucleotide sequence except for the addition of an N-terminal methionine group. Implicated in the differentiation of cells of the oligodendrocyte lineage.
