Recombinant, human mTOR consisting of amino acids 1360-2549 fused at the N-terminus to DYKDDDDK sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. mTOR is a ubiquitously expressed, serine/threonine protein kinase regulated by growth factor signaling, amino acid availability, and energy levels. mTOR activity is inhibited by rapamycin as well as broad spectrum PI 3-kinase inhibitors. The catalytically active enzyme is useful for inhibitor screening. Active in kinase assay using the K-LISA™ mTOR (Recombinant) Activity Kit, Cat. No. CBA104.

The activity of mTOR, Human, Recombinant, <i>S. frugiperda</i> was assaying in the presence of increasing amounts of Wortmannin (Cat. No. <a href="/product/681675">681675</a>) using the KLISA™ mTOR (Recombinant) Activity Kit (Cat. No. <a href="/product/CBA104">CBA104</a>), as indicated in the Detailed Protocol of the kit.  The activity of mTOR, Human, Recombinant, <i>S. frugiperda</i> was assayed in the presence of increasing concentrations of Rapamycin (Cat.
