Detects and quantifies the levels of c-Met protein independent of its phosphorylation state. The ligand for c-Met, HGF/SF, is a member of the plasminogen-related growth factor family, which is synthesized as an inactive pro-form. HGF/SF stimulation of c-Met expressing cells enhances proliferation, migration, morphogenesis, and protease synthesis, characteristics that are associated with invasive cell phenotype. This kit is designed for use with human samples.

Data
|
The sensitivity of this ELISA was compared to immunoblotting using known quantities of c-Met. The data presented in Figure 1 show that the sensitivity of the ELISA is ~2x greater than that of immunoblotting. The bands shown in the immunoblot data were developed using an anti-c-Met antibody and chemiluminescent detection.
