EMD Chemicals utilizes a wide range of packaging materials engineered
to provide safe and convenient handling of chemicals in laboratory
or production environments. We make sure the containers are chemically
inert and have the correct amount of head space. From ampoules containing
fractions of a gram to solvents in IBCs holding over 1000L, we have
the packaging to meet your needs. We can also customize packaging

Acids
Acids are packaged in clear glass or poly-coated glass bottles with
acid specific color-coded caps and pour out neck finishes to
ensure dripless pouring. These clear glass bottles are available in 500ml, 1L and 2.5L.
Our 4L bottle is amber glass. Larger
units include 6.5 gallon glass carboys and 55 gallon high density

Solids/Powders
Our solids and powders are packaged in wide-mouth amber glass or wide-mouth
poly bottles ranging in sizes from 1g to 2500g. Semi bulk sizes packaged
in tamper evident screw lid poly pails are available in 12kg to 60kg
containers. Twenty gallon to 55 gallon fiber drums with poly liners
are also available for use with an extensive range of dry powder product

Solutions
Solutions are available in amber glass and poly bottles ranging in size from 500ml
to 4L. We also have 4L, 10L, and 20L Cubitainers® which
supply you with an easy dispensing spigot. Our ampoules range in sizes
from 1ml to 10ml.

Solvents
Our solvents are packaged in amber glass, poly-coated glass, all poly,
and metal containers in sizes that vary from 50ml up to 4L. Larger
volume units include 20L metal pails and 55 gallon metal drums. For
customers that require high volume solvents, we offer NOWPak returnable
containers. These containers have multiple dispensing options (including
the FS-10-8V Self-Venting Rieke Flexspout®)
which make these semi-bulk containers ideal for dispensing small to
medium incremental volumes of solvents and corrosive liquids. Another
option for high volume solvent usage is our EM ReCycler®
stainless steel containers which are available in sizes ranging from
18.9L to 1250L. These vessels can be ordered with basic drum closures
or many alternative dispensing delivery systems built to meet your
needs.

Special
Packaging
EMD Chemicals offers ergonomic, environmentally-friendly packaging.
Our standard packaging for 4x4L containers is the ergonomically designed
"Pro-Lift" carton. These popular cartons have handholes positioned
so that you use your legs to lift the carton, not your back. Our new,
exclusive, "all corrugated" inserts are now available for most high
purity solvents and reagent grade solvents. This honeycomb design
provides superior protection and is environmentally friendly because
it is entirely recycable as cardboard waste. For very hazardous and
heavy products, we offer our EPS Snowflake foam cushioning. This insert
is far more protective than traditional EPS and it meets Packaging
Group 1 requirements.
