CTC Announcement
NEW! Training Module on the Use of Disposables in Downstream Recovery
To meet the growing industry interest in limited re-use or disposable technologies in protein therapeutic manufacturing, the
CTC has incorporated a new module covering this topic. Students will work with a prototype disposable downstream system. This
system will include all typical components including; a disposable membrane valve block, disposable sensors, and a disposable PD
pump head. Also incorporated will be prototypes of our new line of pre-packed, limited re-use ion exchange chromatography columns.
In this new class module, we will discuss the pros and cons of fully disposable "Plug 'n' Flow™" systems for downstream recovery
operations and how these systems interface with other limited re-use components to provide a fully integrated solution for the customer
on the go. We will also gather student input on component placement and design.
