Scale-up and Practical Aspects of Chromatography Course Description
| Course Description: |
A key part of the purification process is the packing of the
process chromatography column. The methodologies used
are dependent on the resins chosen for the purification
scheme. This course will provide you with the most up-to-date
methods and information for obtaining the best
performance from your Fractogel® EMD or Fractoprep®
media, regardless of the type and/or manufacturer of the
column system being used. The course involves extensive
hands-on practical sessions using a process scale 76 cm
column; it will also look at scaling up from a 10 cm column
and the issues involved in the scale up. In addition the
course will deal with the latest methods of column
validation, both pre-process use and during the actual
process, including monitoring the column quality and
assessing useful column lifetime.

| Who Should Attend? |
This highly interactive and hands-on course is designed
for process development, manufacturing and development
engineering personnel involved in scale-up and operation of
process chromatography. They should have a basic knowledge
of chromatographic techniques and want to benefit from a
deeper knowledge of the chromatographic process and
packing of large scale columns with polymeric media.
