Fractogel^® EMD Biochromatography Resin

Fractogel EMD process resin has been used for more than 10 years and is widely-used in industry by biopharmaceutical companies, both large and small, in various development and commercial-scale applications for the purification of antibodies, peptides and other biomolecules. The semi-rigid property of the resin bead offers enhanced process throughput and the tentacle chemistry to which the function groups are attached to provides superior binding capacity and resolution compared to other media. Fractogel EMD media binds very efficiently to proteins, nucleic acids and viruses.

Additionally, due to the tighter binding of the target molecule, Fractogel EMD can also be used during the initial capture step of downstream processing. Its ion exchangers perform better than non-tentacle resins due to greater accessibility of the functional groups. The resin is robust under typical operating and cleaning conditions and can be used over many cycles.
