Color Forecast Spring/Summer 2007

Summer 2007 confirms the turn taken in Winter 2006/07 towards new consumer attitudes. It is a return to couture design, workwear authentics and fashion fundamentals.

The following four chapters are being foreseen:

MATERIAL expresses the urge for rugged textures and functional classics
in which working attire is worn with a seductive edge for a self-assured and very feminine woman. Her attitude to make-up is creative and inventive, a mixture of glamour and humor. She likes rich textures and intense colors. She favours a clear, smooth complexion with highlights on eyes and lips. Favorite colors are beiges, golden-browns, intense green and blue.

The mood of SOLEMN is designed for a woman with a meticulous sense of detail, elegance and luxury. Her beauty-enhancing cosmetics feature subtle shimmering effects and oxidized metallic reflections in a soft and lustrous palette of neutral tones. Delicate transparent glosses highlight matte and shiny contrasts. Important colors: shady, smoky or mauvish colored grays, oxidized metal tones from bronze to gold to copper.

The key to PRIVATE is simple, sensual, natural charm. A dreamy and poetic environment with an easy and carefree mood. She makes the most of her natural features with light and airy textures of easy to apply cosmetics. Make-up has a very fresh feel with its tender colors and light textures. White is discreetly omnipresent. Light veiled effects, crystal glitters and subtle whites infuse a clean, natural feel. Favorite colors: range of whitened shades: frosty, milky, opalescent pastels, light greens and mauves.

The SINGULAR mood is defined by a strong-minded and artsy woman who appreciates bold colors and distinctive designs. Guided by her intuition and inspiration, she creates her own personal style. Whatever her age, she is always looking to make a personal statement. A visionary, expressive beauty with a powdery transparent complexion who adorns her features with a single bold touch of color around eyes or lips/nails. The colors for this group are powerful, intense, high-energy colors in midnight blue, ultraviolet, green and show-off reds.
